Eagle Owls held another Star Gazing evening for pupils and parents in the class on February 4th. We were lucky to have a fairly clear night, with not too many clouds spoiling the view. The pupils had learnt about many of the planets in science lessons and also about the ‘Seven Sisters’ from their work on the Mayans. They could even see Venus shining brightly in the evening sky. We were able to have all the telescopes working that we borrow from The Teacher Science Network as well as a science technician from Hethersett High School who came to show us many different planets on a glowing globe. Finished off with a delicious hot chocolate and marshmallows – what a successful night.
