Eagle Owls have been using the apples from the school apple trees to make preserves.  First we made Sweet Mincemeat, then Spiced Apple Chutney and finally Christmas Chutney.  Next we decorated the jars and designed persuasive labels.  Then we calculated the price we intended to charge by comparing prices to similar products, considering the cost of the ingredients and ensuring we made a profit.  Finally we sold them to teachers and parents at the Harvest Festival – where we sold out!
