Friends
The Friends of Little Melton are a fund raising body for the school and are vital to the high quality environment the school can offer its children. Little Melton is lucky in having such an active Friends organisation as the money the Friends raise is used to buy many of the extras that the school would have difficulty funding. In recent years they have purchased or paid for
- Interactive whiteboards
- Fridge for children’s lunch boxes
- £1000 to refurbish the school pond
- Early Years equipment for Reception class
- £1000 towards the Read/Write literacy scheme
- All coach travel for school trips
- Water cooler hire
- Christmas party/entertainer
- Sainsbury centre subscription.
The Friends run many fund raising events ranging from Quiz ‘n’ Chips social evenings to the famous May Fair which is held just before half-term.
